Saturday Night Out Again!
A handful of the folks present Saturday afternoon, went up to Pasadena with the visiting missionary to break into the market place with a church group in the area.
We listened to testimony, waited on the Lord, wrote our clues down, walked to the park to find our "treasures", the people matching the clues.
What were the clues? Simple things like: Red bike. Torn jeans at the knee. Dave. Migraine. Wheelchair and white blanket, April, red converse, left wrist brace, someone pulling at necklace.
We found more than half the people matching those clues, in fact, showed them the clues on our paper which gained their attention.
Each was ministered to as God led. Some felt the presence of the Lord, some not.
One large group picnicing in the park were approached with the statement, "Does anybody need a miracle?" One couple and another woman received prayer.
In fact, the woman challenged one of our team members to tell her what was wrong with her as a test of his authenticity. R. waited on the Lord and got the two conditions she was struggling with!
Another couple declared they were happy smoking their pot and drinking. They received prayer, and the gospel message of God's love towards them. Meet people where they are at and God WILL do the rest.
Jesus went into the darkest places to share the Father's love, the message of truth. It was the broken, poor, the demonized, who often responded to the gospel. Paul was one of the greatest opponents of the Jesus, was blinded by the Lord, and became the chief apostle after Jesus ascended into heaven.
We have to take off our critical glasses and look at people through God's lens. The gospel if full of testimony of lives changed, transformed by Christ. We are commanded to do no less, even greater works.
I want to see the same works, even the greater works while I am still on Terra firma.

Romans 10:14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"
John 14:12 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father".
