At The Checkout

So my husband and I are in the check out lines at Costco, which are long and a young cashier runs up to us and says, is this all you are purchasing? Yes we say, come with me he replies. He takes us to the checkout inside the tobacco cage.

He begins to check out our groceries, and as he does, I can feel the Holy Spirit all around him from the other side of the check out stand. When he is finished checking the groceries through, I pay, then ask him, are you a believer? He replies yes, with a puzzled look.

I tell him, well, from this far away, I am perceiving the Holy Spirit all around you. He was surprised, I shook his hand, and prayed a quick blessing over him. He was stunned. I came around the other side of the check stand, in the tobacco cage you have to do so to leave the enclosure. As I passed him he bent into me and said how much he needed the encouragement and prayers. I gave him a hug, and then he told me that several months ago he lost his son who grew to 7 months in the womb and then died. He said that he loves God, has been going to church but just felt so empty inside.

I told T. I would continue to pray for him since he had a new customer to check.

I cried outside of Costco. I told him this is why I am so passionate about market place evangelism. The look on T.'s face, and the genuine thanks for taking the time to bless him with prayer and encouragement says it all.

Market place ministry is incredible once you become available to the Holy Spirit for active duty!

Yeah God!

Costco, in the check out line.

I ran over to Costco for a few things and in line, which was long, I had the opportunity to talk with the young mother of two children ahead of me.

I did not have a word of knowledge, vision, leading, zippo. Instead, she was holding a liquid vitamin I had just looked at but put down. So we talked about it. Then I talked to her son who was strapped into his seat in the cart in order to help her get through the check out line. He was getting restless.

She told me that the supplement interested her since she has Asthma. Ha, she is dealing with a health issue, I decided to ask God for the opportunity to pray for her. But we were at the checkout, and by the way, she was paying for her groceries. She finishes, walks out with both kids who now want to leave in a big way.

I pay for my groceries quickly and head out to the parking lot. I asked God to put us back together as I walked to the exit.

I reach the parking lot and here she comes walking right towards me, she laughed when she saw me and explained she'd passed her car and realized it at the end of the row which caused her to turn back, towards me. God led her right to me!

I asked her if she was a praying person. She replied yes. I asked her if I could pray for her asthma. She said yes. While praying for her I checked in and asked her if she felt anything, she said warmth. I prayed more and blessed what God was doing. She stood and received it as if she was so thirsty for God's touch.

After praying I asked where she went to church. She is new in the area and was waiting for someone to invite her, well, come on now. I did just that. She said she is so hungry for a good Christian church, which God knew, so He led her to me in order to point out a church for her to visit.

God is so amazing.

Again, at the boutique

One of the gals who works the register at the boutique has some health issues which we were going to pray over at the previous boutique, but didn't. A fire in the hills surrounding the boutique cut short our sales day, we had to evacuate the building. In the meantime I thought to pray for her.

The Spring boutique afforded the perfect opportunity to pray!

We slipped to a back room and prayed. The Holy Spirit fell on her powerfully. She encountered the presence of the Living God. I am believing she is healed.

I explained what was happening, and I am praying that she responds by seeking the Lord for more relationship with him. We will see at the next boutique in a few months?

Two more divine appointments at the boutique

Twice today, I met up with women that I have known, one longer than the other which God has connected me with during difficult times in their lives.

The Lord prompted me to expect one of them to come to the boutique so I was on the lookout for her especially with a word of encouragement. We had not seen each other for months, my new cell did not have her phone number any longer. God is good, and led her straight to me. We prayed and it was good.

The second woman tends to isolate. She is not one to attend the boutique, her friend brought her. She had been out of sight for some time and yet God made way for us to connect, talk and pray. Yeah God, it was good for reasons to private to share.

So while I am working a boutique selling my product, God has the opportunity to place me into peoples lives, I love it. God maximizes opportunities.

Today at the boutique

Today I had the opportunity to pray for a woman who has MS. Her friend ordered a personalized sign from me while I sat painting at a boutique. She asked how long it would take since her friend was not feeling well, had MS and would need to leave after resting in a chair near the register. I finished the sign quickly, I delivered it to the customer who was now sitting with her friend. I asked if I could pray for the woman with MS, she said yes.

I knelt down next to her while she sat in the patio chair and with eyes open we prayed as directed by the Holy Spirit. She began to move under the gentle power of the Spirit. I asked her what she felt, "warmth" she replied and peace. I prayed again. She moved under the power again. I concluded the prayer.

I asked her if she lived close hoping to direct her to the Healing Room in which I pray on Friday nights. She told me she lived two counties away.

Well, funny thing. Actually not funny at all, but a divine appointment. I just attended a Randy Clark healing school at a church not far from her home, oh yeah, two counties away. I looked up the address and phone number on my cell phone and wrote it down for her.

I encouraged her to go receive more prayer.

And by the way she is Catholic. Seems to be the week for meeting Catholics in the market place. When we spoke of the Lord moving in the Catholic churches and began to feel the Holy Spirit come on me, I was moved with compassion.

I just get this warm feeling that God is truly going to move powerfully within the Catholic Church soon! Yeah God!

A Retrun Customer Got More Than She Came To Buy

At the same boutique, I was visited by a familiar customer, D. She and I shared news since we had not seen each for a couple months. Her husband was now out of work, she had physical issues and family was coming to live with her.

I asked if we could pray. As I laid hands on her, I could feel the Holy Spirit begin to rest on me, I knew it would be true for her as well. She began to sway some, and her eyes blinked somewhat.

Then the power of God began to rest on the both of us, I asked her if she felt anything, she described what was happening as I prayed for healing to come into her upper spine. Warmth, a sense of peace around her and on her that surprised her. I explained that the Kingdom was resting on us both and in Heaven there is no worry, stress, pain, etc. I told her that God was pouring out His Spirit on us and that in His presence the worries and cares of the flesh leave. She was loving it, I assume though she's been a believer for a long time, has not experienced the presence of God this way.

After praying I told her how I spend time soaking in God's presence and encouraged her to do the same, that each one of us can learn to make place for God's presence as well as knowledge of His word, and that the two working together bring us into deeper fellowship with God, a strong enduring walk.

I love seeing people encounter the Lord in the market place, I love the looks on passers by too!

Encounters at the Boutique

While painting wood signs at the Boutique, a man in a suit walked up to my table and asked me for information regarding the length of the boutique. First of all, I was surprised to see a man there without a wife attached, second of all, this fellow was dressed in a full business suit holding a Starbucks coffee. My first thought, I think he is out of place. But no, God drew him into the boutique for a word and ministry.

When I looked up at his face and we began talking about the short term boutique, in the spirit, I saw him as a warrior. I asked him where is faith in Christ stood. He explained. I then began to tell him what the Lord was showing me which surprised and intrigued him. I asked him if I could pray for him to which he replied yes.

I stood to his side and place my hand on his shoulder and with eyes open, I prayed. His eyes became teary, he was grateful for the ministry and encouragement.

Basically the Lord gave me words of destiny and purpose which obviously touched T.

I will never get tired seeing God minister to people in the market place, yeah God!

Costco

I was shopping with my family in Costco and decided to look at phone accessories. I walked up and immediately a young clerk asked what I was looking for. When I looked at his face I perceived that he had a belief in Jesus. When I told him what I was looking for he decided to take me over a few isles to see the product which was not displayed in his kiosk.

On our way, away from his co-workers, I had the chance to ask him if he was a Christian? This is my way of confirming what I believed to have heard through a word of knowledge.

He said no. I said really, you do not know who Jesus is? He said I know who Jesus is, but I am not a Christian, I am a Catholic.

This is apparently my week to reach out to Catholics.

I asked him the same questions as the previous couple I blogged about from the Sam's club encounter.

He said he did believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior. As he declared his faith, I started getting downloads of words of knowledge. I began telling him things about himself and he looked at me with a somewhat surprised look. I asked if I could pray for him, which we did in the open isle with our eyes open. I blessed him in keeping with the words I had been given, he took it all in and was encouraged.

Yeah God, move in the Catholic church Lord, bring Your revival fire in the midst of them!

encounter at Sam's club

I ran to Sam's for a few last minute items. I was really really focused on getting in, and leaving asap. I Thad a few items in my cart, I passed by a couple with a child in the seat of their shopping cart. At first I did not "get" or receive anything in particular. As I walked away I began to get a a strong impression to go back without a lead of any sort.

I was about an isle away and decided to find them, they were headed towards me as I turned my cart around. I walked up to them and said, excuse me, "Do you know who Jesus is".

How is that for lame? Well, it got their attention. No profound revelation, just a simple question which I believe was the point the Lord was making with me. It does not always take a "profound" word to begin a discussion, though I love getting those types of words of knowledge.

They answered quickly, we are Catholic. I asked if they believe Jesus is Lord and have they decided to make Him Lord of their life? They answered yes.

I said, well then, we believe the same, we just worship differently. Ok, I can hear the comments coming. I know there are differences. But God has spoken clearly to me to build bridges with people in the Catholic Church. Afterall, we do believe in the same Jesus.

Turns out the wife, F. is about to go on dialysis. I asked if I could pray for her, she said yes through her husband who was interpreting the conversation. She began to sway a bit, and her eyes popped open at one point when I could feel the Holy Spirit pouring out on us both.

She said she felt much peace. Her s or 8 yr. old watched me pray with curiosity. I encouraged her daughter to lay hands on her mom and pray for her to be healed. She smiled and said she would.

These dear people volunteer a lot in the church. God interupted their day and ministered back to them through a stranger. How awesome is that, God takes care of His sheep!
Romans 10:14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"

John 14:12 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father".
